The witness eyes
and the conscious lips
It is 2021. Mankind has overcomed a lot of diseases, wars and problems of modern world. However, increasingly thirsty of power and dictatorship. In this collection, I made my efforts to depict the emotions that are being trampled under the huge shoes of dictatorships. Eyes that are witnessed of suffocation and lips that are unable to complain. However, all of these emotions are floating in their faces.
This collection is painted on the autumn’s leaves to indicates the suffocating atmosphere in those societies. They are small in size – each 15X15 – to emphasis the inability of poor people to confront with the cruel gigantic totalitarian dictatorships.
It’s too cold, dark … Roads are ended to the gallows decorated with the hanged heads. Whining and wailing are heard by the concerned eyes, sewn lips. Dreams, wishes and youthfulness are buried under mounds of dirt. The corpses are dumped in cemeteries. Jails are full of innocents expecting their sentences …
Suffocation is felt everywhere and no one can complain …
You are witness of all inequalities and injustices but unable to offer any help …
And then, you are filled with fear, anger and desperation …
You want to make changes but you can’t …
